This notice explains how TDVG membership works. Its legal framework is set out in the TDVG Membership Terms.
Duration and activation
TDVG membership is annual. It begins when TDVG confirms receipt of the membership fee and remains valid for 12 months. The current fee and payment method are communicated directly after the application.
Testability
All active TDVG members may be subject to anti-doping control at any time, including the off-season, from the moment their membership fee is confirmed and membership is activated. No previous competition or event registration is required.
Leaving membership and returning to competition
An athlete may choose not to renew. A former member who later wants to compete in a TDVG or TDVG partner/referred event must reactivate membership at least six months before the competition. This period may not apply to first-time members. It may be reduced to three months if an athlete-funded unannounced doping control is completed. Lifetime-banned athletes cannot return through new membership.
